Complete the following steps to create Unica Plan system tables database or schema:

Procedure

  1. Work with a database administrator to create the required database for Unica Plan.
  2. Have the database administrator create an account for you to specify for a system user later in the installation process.

    This account must have CREATE, SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, and DROP rights for both tables and views, as appropriate. In addition:

    • The database must use UTF-8 encoding.
    • If you are using SQL Server, ensure that TCP/IP is enabled.
    • If you are using DB2®, ensure that the buffer pool for the table space is at least 32K.
    • For Maria DB , lower_case_table_names is 1 so that table names are considered case insensitive
  3. Print and complete the Unica Plan data source information worksheet. You use the information later in the installation process.
