Security policies are made up of roles that reflect job titles or responsibilities.

Each role in a security policy is a set of permissions: rules that grant or block user access to features and options in Collaborate. For example, you can configure security policies that ensure the following.

Managers have access to all the Lists, On-demand Campaigns, and Corporate Campaigns in their business units.
Users' access to Lists, On-demand Campaigns, and Corporate Campaigns is based on both their business unit and their job function.
Only select users can create new Lists, On-demand Campaigns, or Corporate Campaigns.

Any object that is created in Collaborate is governed by a security policy. The security policy that is assigned to a new object is determined by the template that was used to create it.
