    You must run the Unica installer to start the installation of Unica Campaign and Unica Optimize. The Unica installer starts the product installer during the installation process. Make sure that the Unica installer and the product installer are saved at the same location.

Complete the following steps to prepare data sources for Unica Optimize.

Procedure

Create a database or a database schema for the Unica Optimize system tables. The empty database that you set up for Unica Campaign can have any name.

Note: Unica Campaign requires customer tables, which should already exist.
Create a database user account.
The database user account must have the following rights: CREATE, DELETE, DROP, INSERT, SELECT, and UPDATE.
Create ODBC or native connections. If you use UA_SYSTEM_TABLES as the ODBC name for that database, the Unica Campaign system tables will be mapped automatically.
Configure the web application server for your JDBC driver.
Create JDBC data sources in the web application server.
