Using an Apple device FAQ
There is no client software to install to use HCL Traveler on Apple devices. However, you must create an account on your device for mail, calendar, and contacts before you can connect to the HCL Traveler server.

How do I customize my account?

Use the Settings application of your device to change your HCL Traveler mail, calendars, and contacts settings such as how much mail to sync, how you are notified about new mails, the number of mail message lines to preview, the contacts sort order, and how much calendar data to keep.

On older operating system levels, these are all under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars with most under the account name. On newer operating system levels, these have been split per application under Settings.

Note: The notifications (alerts, badges, sounds) are all generated by the device applications based on the data synchronized from the HCL Traveler server. These notifications are not coming from the HCL Traveler server and are not related to APNS (Apple Push Notification Service) in any way.

Note: The mail setting Show x Recent Messages does not apply to HCL Traveler. This setting is no longer available on newer operating system levels.

Note: If you change how much calendar data to keep, you can select only how far back in the past to sync calendar events. This limitation is due to the fact that all future calendar events always sync to the device.
