Enabling attachment security settings

Attachment security policies can be enabled for the Apple iOS Mail client and the HCL Verse for Android client.

Currently, this capability is not available for other supported clients, including HCL Verse for iOS. If you have security concerns with attachments for a different client platform that is supported for syncing using HCL Traveler, it is possible to disable attachment syncing for a specific device platform type. To disable attachments per device platform, use the HCL Traveler Administration web client to edit the Default Settings document. On the Default Settings document, navigate to Preferences > Security, and then to a specific device platform tab. Select the checkbox Prohibit download of attachments. Additionally, for the HCL Verse Mobile clients, the administrator can allow attachments to be downloaded but restrict the export of the attachment(s) to the device file system.

You can enable attachment security polices using the HCL Traveler Administration web client to edit the Default Settings document. On the Default Settings document, navigate to Preferences > Security, and then to either the Apple or Android tab. For Apple devices, select Allow only approved applications and built in secure viewers to access attachments. For Android devices, select Allow only approved applications to access attachments.
