How do I view and work with To Do's on an Apple device?

By default, this is the main view displayed when launching the To Do application. You can also select the tab from the menu on an iPhone or the sidebar on the iPad.

The All view lists all To Do's on the device, sorted by modification date in reverse chronological order, so that newly created To Do's appear at the beginning of the list.

Due Today

You can select the tab from the menu on an iPhone or the list entry on the sidebar from an iPad.

This view shows the list of To Do's that are due on the current date. These will also be displayed by modification date in reverse chronological order.

A badge containing the number To Do's due today displays on the corresponding tab or list entry.

Overdue

You can select the tab from the menu on an iPhone or the list entry on the sidebar of an iPad.

In this view, you can see any To Do's that are not complete and whose due date has passed. They are sorted by due date, with the most overdue displayed first.

By Due Date

To access the view, select the More tab from the menu on an iPhone or the By Due Date entry on the sidebar of an iPad.

This view shows the list To Do's sorted by due date. To Do's that do not have an assigned date will not show up in this view.

By Priority

To access the view, select the More tab from the menu on an iPhone or the By Priority entry on the sidebar of an iPad.

To Do's in this view are sorted in priority order, with labels indicating the priorities.

The By Priority view has a multi-value control for selecting High, Medium or Low Priority. Selecting one of these options determines which set of To Do's are visible in the list.

Completed

To access the view, select the More tab from the menu on an iPhone or the Completed entry on the sidebar of an iPad.

This view shows the list of To Do's which the user has marked completed on the device. Some completed To Do's may not appear on the device depending on the sync settings. You may choose not to keep completed To Do's on the device.

Lists

You can select the tab from the menu on an iPhone or the List names on an iPad, beneath the other view filters on the sidebar.

This view displays the Lists to which To Do categories can be assigned. By selecting one of the Lists, you can see the To Do's assigned to that List. On the iPad, the user-defined Lists will be displayed beneath the other view filters.
