If two people in your contact list have the same first and last names, you might have difficulty telling their names apart. You can easily identify each person by creating unique nicknames.

About this task

Nicknames display on your contact list, in the chat window, and in the chat transcript. They display only for you. Other people see the default contact name.

Procedure

Select the name in your contact list that you want to change and then click > Edit Nickname.
Type the new name in the New Nickname field and click OK.
