Configuring TLS certificates

You can configure different components of the SafeLinx Server to use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to secure their communications.

Components of the SafeLinx Server use TLS which aid in communications. Components that can use TLS include:
  • LDAP-bind authentication profiles
  • Certificate-based authentication profiles
  • HTTP access services
  • Between the SafeLinx Administrator and access manager

Other components are available, depending on the operating system or configuration data store. To configure TLS, you must use the GSKit tool to create key database files. These files store your public key certificates. When the key database files are created, configure the corresponding SafeLinx Administrator resource to point to the key database files.

For more information about configuring key database files, see Managing certificates for SafeLinx.
