Installing the product on Windows
You can also install desktop clients on Windows by using the silent mode installation method.
Before you begin

You must have uninstalled any older version of this product.

You must have installed OpenJDK 8 along with JVM OpenJ9. To download them, go to the AdoptOpenJDK portal.
- You must have created the properties file that contains the inputs for
the installer during the installation process.Note: You must delete the installer.properties file generated from the previous installation if you are installing a newer version of the product.

The system requirements mentioned in the HCL Support portal provides more information about the software and hardware requirements.The 32-bit stand-alone installer of Rational® Functional Tester supports only SAP extension.Rational® Functional Tester installer. Test extensions such as SAP, Citrix, and Siebel are supported only for 32-bit stand-alone Rational® Performance Tester installer and 32-bit shell-shared installer that are installed on 64-bit Windows operating system. You cannot update, modify or roll back by using the stand-alone installer.
Procedure

Log in as an administrator.
- Change to the directory where you have downloaded the zip file by entering the following command: cd Downloads\<directory path>For example, cd Downloads\HCL-OneTest-<Product Name>-Windows-x86-v10.0.2.exe_10.0.2.v20190110_0440
- Extract the downloaded zip file.

Start the installation process by entering the following
command:.\<installer name> -i silent -f \<location of properties
file>\<properties file name>.propertiesFor example,
HCL-OneTest-<Product Name>-Windows-x86-v10.0.2.exe -i silent -f C:\Program
Files\installer.properties
Note: If the installation is terminated due to any reason, you must check the Installerror.txt to know more about the problem that occurred during the installation process. The error log is located at /<installation directory>/LogsThe product is installed on your machine.
