Installing the product software in the silent mode on macOS
To get started with using the product, you can install the product on macOS by using the silent mode installation method.
Before you begin

You must have elevated privileges access.

You must have completed the following tasks:

Uninstalled any previous version of the product. See Uninstalling the product software in the silent mode on macOS.

Installed OpenJDK 8 along with JVM OpenJ9. For more information, refer to the AdoptOpenJDK portal.

Deleted the installer.properties file generated from the previous installation if you are installing a newer version of the product.

Created a properties file that contains the inputs for the installer during the installation process. See Creating a properties file on macOS.

Verified the software and hardware requirements. See System Requirements.

About this task
You cannot update, modify or roll back the product by using the stand-alone installer.
Procedure
- Open the terminal and log in as an administrator.

Change the directory to where you have downloaded the installer file by running
the following command:
cd <directory path>For example, cd /Users/Applications/HCL/HCL-OneTest-<Product_Name>-mac-x64-v10.1.2.app_10.1.2.v20201105_0440
- Extract the downloaded installer file.

Start the installation process by running the following command:
<installer_file.app> -i silent -f <location of the properties file>For example, HCL-OneTest-<Product_Name>-mac-x64-v10.1.2.0.app -i silent -f /Users/Applications/HCL/installer.properties
Note: If the installation is terminated due to any reason, you must check the Installerror.txt to know more about the problem that occurred during the installation process. The error log is located at /<installation directory>/Logs.You can verify the status of the installation of the product by checking the log file at \<installation directory>\Logs.
