If you want to reuse data that is contained in the HCL® Quality Server workspace when you want to install HCL® Quality Server 10.2.3, you must migrate the data by using the migration script.

  • Stopped HCL® Quality Server. See Starting and stopping HCL Quality Server.
  • Downloaded the product software package that is dependent on the stand-alone installer for the supported operating system on your computer from the HCL FlexNet Operations (FNO) portal.
  • Extracted the downloaded package to a folder on the computer on which you want to install the product software.

Procedure

  1. Find the db-migration_<version> compressed file in the extracted package folder.
  2. Extract the db-migration_<version> compressed file.
Note: You can also read the instructions to use the migration script in the readme file.
  3. Open a terminal and log in as a root user.
  4. Go to the extracted db-migration_<version> folder.
  5. Run the following command:

    ./ migrate.sh

The migration script runs and prompts for your action when the migration is completed.
