Default display formats for numeric and monetary values

When you use the default locale, HCL OneDB™ products use display formats for numeric and monetary values.

HCL OneDB products use the following display formats:
  • The thousands separator is the comma (,).
  • The decimal separator is the period (.).
  • Three digits show between each thousands separator.
  • The positive sign is plus (+) and the negative sign is minus (-).

For monetary values, HCL® OneDB products also use a currency symbol, the dollar ($) sign, in front of a monetary value. For an introduction to numeric and monetary display formats, see Numeric and monetary formats. For information about how to customize these display formats, see Customize currency display formats.
