Introduction to the connector wizard

The Link connector wizard provides an easy way to create REST-based adapters, or connectors, within the user interface, without having to write code or use additional tooling.

Use the connector wizard to create these artifacts:
  • Adapters created from REST services.
  • Connectors created from Link flows.
  • Descriptors for hand-coded adapters.

The difference between adapters and connectors is that adapters are a lower-level component that can be used in Link maps and flows. Connectors are a higher-level component that are used in Link embedded scenarios. An adapter accesses a single resource to perform input and output operations. Connectors can access multiple resources and provide more complex interactions. Any data integration flows can be packaged as a connector and exposed to products and tools that embed Link.
