Controlling server access by browser clients that use Java and JavaScript

These settings are for use only with IBM® Lotus® Domino® 5.x and earlier servers. They should not be used with a Domino® 6 or later server and are included for the purpose of backwards compatibility only, to be used to manage prior releases of Domino® servers with the current IBM® Notes® client.

Procedure

  1. From the Domino® Administrator, click Configuration, and open the Server document.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. In the Programmability Restrictions section, complete one or both of these fields, and then save the document:
    • Run restricted Java/JavaScript/COM - Enter the names of authenticated browser users and/or groups allowed to run server programs created with a specific set of Java and JavaScript features.

      Leave the field blank (default) to deny access to all users and groups.

    • Run unrestricted Java/JavaScript/COM - Enter the names of authenticated browser users and/or groups allowed to run server programs created with all Java and JavaScript features. Leave the field blank (default) to deny access to all users and groups.
