Introduction to the Connector for ODBC

This chapter provides information about the Connector for ODBC. The Connector for ODBC can be used with HCL Enterprise Integrator for Domino (HEI), Domino Enterprise Connection Services (DECS), and Connector LotusScript Extensions (LC LSX).

Use an Connector for ODBC to connect HEI to an ODBC-compliant database such as Informix. Using the HEI ODBC drivers is recommended. See the ODBC driver documentation for complete information.

Note: HEI does not provide client software; you must have already installed client software. For example, if you are connecting to DB2 through ODBC, the system running HEI must have ODBC and the DB2 client installed.
