Using the Order Metaconnector with a Replication Activity

Replication depends on an ascending sort to operate properly. Do not use the Sort Descending option of this metaconnector when performing Replication activities.

When using Replication in conjunction with the Order metaconnector, the entire result set is fetched into memory so that it can be sorted. If you fetch many records (tens of thousands or more), you may encounter the following error -- "Unable to allocate memory" because you are asking Domino® to process more individual memory blocks than it can handle. If you receive this error, set EIUseOSMemory=1 in the notes.ini file and restart your Domino® server or Notes® client. This will have the effect that HCL Enterprise Integrator (HEI), Domino® Enterprise Connection Services (DECS) and/or the LSXLC will no longer use Domino® memory management, but instead use operating system calls for memory allocations. Note, however, that using this notes.ini variable will prevent Domino® memory tools from being able to search and find HEI, DECS, and Connector LotusScript® Extensions (LC LSX) memory leaks.
