Modifying security model settings after installation of DevOps Test Virtualization Control Panel

This section explains how to modify HCL DevOps Test Virtualization Control Panel (Test Virtualization Control Panel) security model settings after installation.

About this task

Before installing Test Virtualization Control Panel, it is a good idea to consider whether and how Test Virtualization Control Panel users will be authenticated during login (for information about this, refer to Installation considerations for DevOps Test Virtualization Control Panel).

However, before and during installation of Test Virtualization Control Panel, you may be unsure of security model requirements, or you may have insufficient information to enable you to configure (fully) your chosen security model option.

After installation, Test Virtualization Control Panel provides administrators with the means to modify Test Virtualization Control Panel security settings without having to reinstall the software.

To modify Test Virtualization Control Panel security model settings after installation:

Procedure

  1. Open Installation Manager and click Modify.
  2. Select Test Virtualization Control Panel package from the list to modify the package and click Next.
  3. In the RTCP Security Configuration page, select the required authentication mode from the Authentication Type list and click Next.
  4. Click Modify and then click Finish.
  5. Restart Test Virtualization Control Panel service to ensure that any changes you have made take effect.

Results

The selected type of authentication mode is applied for the users to log in to Test Virtualization Control Panel.
