Using Linux as a VOB server

If you use Linux™ as a VOB server, you may receive intermittent error messages from DevOps Code ClearCase® because of NFS caching issues in the Linux operating system. In most cases, when you perform the same DevOps Code ClearCase operation again, it succeeds.

The configurations listed below are less likely to experience these problems:
  • Remote Linux VOB server and a local Windows™ view server and client using the CCFS protocol, where remote refers to a separate host and local refers to the same host.
  • Remote UNIX™ system VOB server and a local Linux view server and client.
