Enabling the Japanese user interface for the base ClearCase integration with Rational ClearQuest

You must explicitly set the language catalog setting to use the Japanese user interface for a base ClearCase integration with Rational ClearQuest.

There are two ways to do this:

• You can use the config.pl file for the integration
• You can set an environment variable

Often, the config.pl file is shared by an entire site, so this is a good way to set a site-wide preference. Using environment variables is a convenient way to override site-wide settings and can be a solution to working in a mixed language site.
