  HCL Connections™ is a collaborative tool that makes it easy to connect with others and exchange ideas. Start sharing important information, building a network of useful contacts, and following people that interest you.
- Home page
  Use the home page as a command center to scan and manage items that need your attention. You can view your most recent project updates, check in on the people you follow, and review your action items all from one place.

    Looking to make new connections? Use the social analytics apps to learn about new people you can connect with.
    - Viewing profiles
      View a person's profile to see their recent posts, contact information, background information, and more.
    - Finding things in common
      Use the Things in Common app to see what you have in common with others, directly from their profile sidebar.

      Make new connections and expand your network with the Do You Know app. The Do You Know app recommends people for you to add to your network based on your existing connections, tags, organizational relationships, and actions.
    - Viewing your connections
      Need to expand your network? Use the Who Connects Us app to view your connections and see how others are connected to you.

  Use activities to keep a team informed, collect and share project resources, or to assign and track tasks.
- Files
  Using the Files app, you can upload, organize, share and collaborate on files easily. Files can be shared, tagged, organized in folders, and accessed from other applications, such as Activities and Communities.
- Communities
  Get together with people who share your interests.
- Blogs
  Use blogs to share your announcements, updates, and opinions with others.
- Forums
  Share information, brainstorm ideas, ask and answer questions, and discuss topics of mutual interest in a forum.
- Wikis
  Tap the wisdom of the crowd by building a body of knowledge in a wiki. Everyone on your team can make a contribution.
- Bookmarks
  Use Bookmarks to collect and organize shortcuts to websites.

Getting recommendations

Make new connections and expand your network with the Do You Know app. The Do You Know app recommends people for you to add to your network based on your existing connections, tags, organizational relationships, and actions.

Using the Do You Know app

Use the Do You Know app in the following ways:

Click on My Network to open the My Network page.
Select a person's profile picture from the sidebar to see how they are related to you.
Select the person's profile picture and click Invite to connect to invite them to join your network.
Select the person's profile picture and click Remove if you don't want them to appear in the Do You Know app.
Hover over a person's name to view their business card.
Select Send email directly from the business card, or select More actions to invite the person to connect and download their vCard
Click the photo on either side of the middle photo to scroll through the suggested profiles.
