By default, HCL Compass sends an encrypted database passwords to the Oracle server.

By default, HCL Compass sends an encrypted database passwords to the Oracle server.

When HCL Compass is configured to connect to Oracle, it passes the database password to the database server by using a modified 64-bit Data Encryption Standard (DES) encryption. Oracle uses this encrypted password unless security has been deliberately disabled in the Oracle instance.
