Configuring Microsoft™ Exchange Server for MAPI

Configure Microsoft™ Exchange Server to use with the MAPI mail transport.

Before you begin

The instructions assume that you are familiar with Microsoft™ Exchange Server administration.

Procedure

  1. Create a domain user account for HCL Compass Web. HCL Compass Web uses the email account that is created for this domain user to send email notifications.
    For example, create a user account named UserCQWeb in the domain MyDomain.
  2. In Microsoft™ Exchange, perform these tasks:
    1. Create an email account for the domain user account that you created for HCL Compass Web. In this example, UserCQWeb.
    2. Create a mailbox alias for UserCQWeb.
      For example, UserCQWebAlias.
