Use the States field to select one or more states that are available to the specified record type. Use the Sign When field to specify when those states require signatures.

These settings are available for the Sign When field:

Entering State: Records are signed if the action causes the record to enter the specified state.
Leaving State: Records are signed if the action causes the record to leave the specified state.
Modify In State: Records are signed if the record is in the specified state immediately before, during, or immediately after the action.
