Configuring container authentication for HCL Compass Web

Configure container authentication for HCL Compass Web so that when a user navigates to the logon screen, the user name and password are populated from the client certificate.

Container authentication bypasses some of the standard HCL Compass logon security steps. You must perform the following steps to configure container authentication for HCL Compass Web. Steps 2 and 3 ensure that the HCL Compass Web interface trusts the identity of the user only when operating in an environment enabled for container authentication. The HCL Compass core bypasses password checking only when called from a HCL Compass Web client that has container security enabled. Standard logon processing cannot be bypassed from either a script or any other HCL Compass client user interface.
