If you are using HCL Compass for the first time, the GUI-based tools provide support to set up and manage data code pages for your schema repositories. Also, for many previous users of HCL Compass whose data code pages were set to US-ASCII, the GUI provides all required code page functionality.

You can use the cpheader command to add and remove data code page header information to and from exported workspace items (queries, charts, reports, and report formats) and form files created by using the original HCL Compass Designer.
