Assign widgets to layout template

Management Center provides a feature of assigning widgets to layout template through Page Composer tool.

Procedure

1. Open Management Center Tools.
2. From Hamburger menu select Manage Stores > Page Composer. A landing page opens which lists all the existing pages.
3. This landing page consists of two sections, Pages, and Layouts. Select Layouts to assign widgets to the layout template.
4. Select the store from Store filter.
5. Enter the name of the layout in Search column. All the layouts related to search term will be listed on the screen.
6. Double click on the layout name for which you want to assign widgets.
7. In the Design section, selected template will be available. You can Change Template if you want.
8. A list of all the widgets will be displayed on the right side column on the screen.
9. You can enter the name of the widget you are looking for in the Filter Widget.
10. Drag and drop the widget in the template where you want that to want to see the related information.
11. If the widget you are looking for is at the bottom of the page, select the widget and move it up; then drop it on the template slot where you want it to be viewed on the storefront.
