Elasticsearch grouping does not work with a custom group field

Observed behavior
When grouping is enabled using a custom field, the grouping does not work.
Expected behavior
The grouping should work with custom fields as well as standard fields.
Resolution
The code has been updated to correctly consider custom fields when processing the grouping.
