Product details page: Swatches view

For certain products like clothing or furniture, you can display color or fabric swatches on the product details page as an alternative to listing the available colors by name in a list. The product details page supports a swatches view that provides a graphical representation of the values for defining attributes.

The swatches view is not limited to displaying images for colors and fabrics; you can represent any defining attribute values as images, for example, sizes. The swatches view shown in the following screen capture is automatically used on the storefront for any attribute values to which you assign swatch images. The swatch images are also used in the Quick Info page, and in product listings (list view) on the Subcategory page (B2C).
