Migrating Notes data to HCL Client Application Access (Windows)

If you use Microsoft™ Windows™, use this procedure if you want to uninstall Notes® and migrate the Notes data to HCL Client Application Access (HCAA).

About this task

On Microsoft Windows, IBM Notes 8.5.x and HCAA can't coexist. If you use Notes 8.5.x, you must uninstall it before you install HCAA.
Note: HCAA is, by default, a multi-user install - it does not use the existing data directory. If a user wants to use an existing data directory, use the command for a single user in the table below after Notes uninstall.

Notes 11.x or later can coexist with HCAA. However, if you no longer want to use Notes, uninstall it and install HCAA as described in this topic to migrate your data.

Procedure

Use the steps in the following table that correspond to your type of Notes installation: single-user or multi-user.
