Installing and setting up the migration utility

Install and setup the migration utility before exporting and importing data.

Note: The migration utility must be installed on the system from which data is being exported.

Installing the migration utility on a Windows system

Login to the FlexNet Operations portal and download migration_util_win.zip from the AppScan Source 10.0.5 download area to an appropriate and accessible location on your local system.
Extract the utility into the AppScan Source installation directory. The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\AppScanSource\migration_util_win.

Installing the migration utility on a Linux system

Login to the FlexNet Operations portal and download migration_util_linux.tar.gz from the AppScan Source 10.0.5 download area to an appropriate and accessible location on your local system.
Extract the utility into the AppScan Source installation directory. The default location is: /opt/ibm/appscansource/migration_util_linux.

Add the migration utility folder to LD_LIBRARY_PATH:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:<<path>/migration_util_linux>

Uninstalling the migration utility

To uninstall the migration utility, delete the directory to which the utility was extracted.
