With AppScan® Source for Development, you can work in your existing development environment and perform security vulnerability analysis on Java and IBM® MobileFirst Platform projects. Creating variables
To open an assessment or bundle previously created in AppScan® Source for Analysis that relies on a path variable, you should create a matching variable in your development environment. Creating a variable ensures that the data is available across multiple computers. To share assessment data you must define the appropriate variables.

Procedure

Select Window > Preferences from the main workbench menu. In the Preferences dialog box, choose Security Analysis > Change Variables.
Choose HCL AppScan Source > Define Variables from the main menu.
In the PreferencesVariables dialog box Change Variables page, click Add Variable.
In the New Variable dialog box, type a variable name in the Name field, browse to the file path, and then click OK.
In the New Variable dialog box, type a variable name and then click OK. In the Browse for Folder dialog box, browse to the file path and then click OK.
When you have completed adding variables, click OK to close all open dialog boxes.
