Creating customized user access for all applications

Product administrators can create and assign customized user types to users that give them global permissions on all applications. These customized user types make it easier to quickly assign access to many users or user groups.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Administration view.
  2. On the User Types page, click the Create icon (Create).
  3. Enter a name and description.
  4. Assign the permissions by selecting from the following options:

    Create New ApplicationsUsers can create applications, but cannot modify or delete them.
    Delete Any ApplicationUsers can delete any application, regardless of the access that is given for the specific application.
    View Application Attributes on All Applications Users can view all applications, but not modify or delete application properties.
    Modify Application Attributes on All ApplicationsUsers can modify all applications, regardless of the access that is given for the specific application.
    Manage Access Control on All Applications Users can change the access for any individual application, regardless of the access that is given for the specific application.
    Manage Associated Scans on All ApplicationsUsers can manage associated scans for all applications, regardless of the access that is given for the specific application.
  5. Click Create. This customized user type appears as an option in the user type list on the Users and Groups page.
