HCL License support scenarios for AppScan Enterprise Installation and Upgrade

HCL AppScan Enterprise supports only HCL License subscriptions. In the AppScan Enterprise versions 9.0.3.14 and 10.0.0/10.0.1 versions, the license support was extended to both IBM and HCL Licenses. However, upgrading these older versions requires a valid HCL License.

This section explains about various upgrade scenarios and corresponding action you may have to consider during AppScan Enterprise installation or upgrade.

Note: If you are upgrading an IBM License supported (subscribed) AppScan Enterprise version to a later version of AppScan Enterprise without a valid HCL License, then the installation process will not complete.
Note: In HCL Licensing, the scanners licenses are provided by AppScan Enterprise server hence the Agents need to contact the AppScan Enterprise server via HTTP. The port 9443 is configured as the default port during AppScan Enterprise Server installation and is accessible from the Scanner machine.
