The following are the hardware requirements for Unica Discover Network Capture Application.

Recommended requirements

Note: The following recommendations apply to DNCA version 12.1.0 and later.

Discover recommends the following hardware for installation of the Unica Discover Network Capture Application:

Dual processor, quad core: Intel™ quad-core Xeon processor at 2.8 GHz or better for total of eight cores minimum
16 GB of RAM or better
3 NICs, 1 Gigabit each
100 GB or better SAS or SCSI hard disk drive
- 15-ms access time
- 7200-rpm drive speed

The following hardware is recommended for general software installation and machine recovery:

CD-ROM drive
1.44-MB diskette drive
second drive for capturing and storing network traffic to archives: 200 GB - 800 GB

The Discover DNCA software requires the following minimum hardware:
