On-premises deployment

The on-premises deployment architecture represents a common Unica Discover environment that is deployed within your local network infrastructure. In this scenario, the Network Capture Application can be hosted on a physical server or it can be hosted from a compatible virtual server within the same network environment.

The capture device must have access to all traffic sent to the load balancing router or a network segment that is containing the group of application/web servers that are supported by the Unica Discover solution.

Because the Discover Network Capture host is connected directly to the collection device, opening firewall ports is not required to collect data.
