Restarting Manage Services

Complete the following instructions to restart the Manage Services server.

About this task

The Manage Services server only needs to be restarted in the following situations:

  • A configuration change is made to the Discover Management Server. See Configuring the Manage Services Server above.
  • Manage Services has been upgraded.
  • The Manage Services data dictionaries have been upgraded. Upgrades to Manage Services or its data dictionaries are uncommon.
Note: When Manage Services is restarted, Discover users currently logged into the Portal may see an error message displayed in their browsers. This is normal. Refreshing the page clears the error.

Procedure

  1. Login to the Portal as an administrator.
  2. To access Manage Services, select Discover > Manage Services from the Portal menu.
  3. In the Manage Services WorldView tab, select Servers view from the drop-down.
  4. Select Discover Management Server.
  5. To restart the Manage Services server, click Restart.
