Uninstalling the Tivoli Monitoring agent

About this task

To uninstall the agent, perform the following procedure.

Procedure

  1. Run the following script:
    On Windows
    From ITM_install_dir/TMAITM6, enter:
    k20_uninstall.vbs ITM_install_dir
    where ITM_install_dir is the directory where you installed the Tivoli Monitoring agent.
    On UNIX and Linux
    From ITM_install_dir/bin, enter:
    uninstall.sh [-f] [-i] [-h ITM_install_dir] [product platformCode]
    For example, uninstall.sh -f -I -h /opt/IBM/ITM 36 lx8266
  2. After removing the agent, delete any offline entry from the Tivoli Enterprise Portal by performing the following steps:
    1. Ensure that your Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server and Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server are up and running.
    2. Log in to the Tivoli Enterprise Portal client.
    3. From the Physical Navigator views, right-click Enterprise and select Workspace > Managed System Status. The Managed System Status workspace opens.
    4. Right-click the IBM Tivoli Managed Systems for your agent and select Clear off-line entry. All the entries from the table are deleted.
