General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) support

The GDPR has been adopted by the European Union (“EU"). It establishes a stronger data protection regulatory framework for processing of personal data of individuals, impacts HCL and HCL's client contracts, policies and procedures when handling personal data.

GDPR brings:
  • New and enhanced rights for EU data subjects
  • Widened definition of personal data
  • New obligations for processors
  • Potential significant financial penalties for non-compliance
  • Data breach notifications

Customer data in Collaborate

In Collaborate, customer data is stored in the List database tables. The List tables in Collaborate include the following tables and any other custom tables that you might have created in the application.
  • uacc_lists
  • uacc_ondemand_lists
  • uacc_corporate_lists
  • uacc_permanent
  • uacc_ondemand_permanent
  • uacc_corporate_permanent

Removing customer data from Collaborate

To delete customer information from the Collaborate List tables, complete the following steps.
  1. Delete the record for a specific customer from the Master customer table.
  2. Run the flowcharts. The data in the List tables is refreshed.
  3. If you do not want to run all the flowcharts, you can remove the records for the specific customer from all the List tables. Ensure that you also remove the customer data from any custom tables that you might have created.
