Sending a WhatsApp message

Creating and sending standard personalized WhatsApp messages require you to create a template in the Message Editor using WhatsApp templates approved by WhatsApp service provider. You must create a WhatsApp communication in the Message Editor using templates approved by WhatsApp service provider.

Create a WhatsApp template

To create a WhatsApp template, perform the following steps.
  1. Navigate to the Message Editor from Campaign menu.
  2. In the Message Editor, under the New list, select WhatsApp Template.
  3. Click Browse to import the pre-approved WhatsApp template.
  4. In the Template Name box, provide an appropriate name.
  5. Click .

Create a WhatsApp communication

To send SMS and Whatsapp message through Deliver or Journey, the mobile number must be mentioned in the format "+(country code)(number)" when populating OLT vis Deliver process box in flowchart execution.

To create a WhatsApp communication, perform the following steps.
  1. In the Message Editor, under the New list, select WhatsApp Communication.
  2. Under the To list, select the personalization field which includes the WhatsApp number.
  3. Drag and drop the WhatsApp template from the Content Library in the left pane. The template displays in the message body.
  4. Click .
  5. Provide a unique span id name and an appropriate class and click OK.
    • If you want a upload property for the personalized field, provide "droppable" class. The following is an example. <span id="name" class="droppable">.
  6. Right-click the personalization fields and click Add content>Field.
  7. Under the New Field list, select the appropriate field.
  8. For the Zone: Document, drag and drop the document or media file you want to upload.
  9. Review your changes and click Save Changes.

Note: In version 12.1.0.3, video preview is only available in supported HTML5 browsers.

Note: Only H.264 video codec is supported. Only videos with single audio stream are supported.
