Personalization fields in landing pages

The system assembles the page based on information provided through personalization fields included in the landing page. Each page view is unique because, through the use of personalization fields, the page displays information specific to the person viewing the page.

When an email recipient clicks a link to visit a personalized landing page or online form, Unica Deliver uses information in the link parameters (which can include personalization fields) to identify and qualify the person making the page request.

Personalized landing pages must be linked to an email that is referenced by an Deliver mailing. The mailing must also reference an OLT. When you reference the email and an OLT to the same mailing, you establish the relationship between the OLT and the hosted landing page that is linked to the email. The personalization field name and type that you specify in the landing page must exactly match the name and type that is defined for the personalization field in the OLT.

The information used to personalize the landing page reflects the data provided at the time the OLT was last uploaded. Deliver does not automatically refresh the data if the source information changes in your marketing database.

When the email recipient opens the landing page from a link in the email, the system displays personalized content that is based on the personalization field values that were defined in the OLT at the time of the mailing run that sent the email.
