Unica Deliver is a web-based, enterprise scale marketing message solution that you can use to conduct outbound bulk messaging and transactional messaging campaigns. Deliver integrates with Unica Campaign and with secure message composition, transmission, and tracking resources that are hosted by Unica.
Offers in personalized email
You can add offers that you define in Unica Campaign to personalized email that you create and send through Unica Deliver. Including offers in your marketing email gives you an opportunity to deliver a timely and targeted call to action to your audience. The system collects the offer responses and makes the data available in the Campaign contact and response history for use in Campaign performance reports.
Associating offers with assets
You associate an offer with an asset by adding the offer to the asset in the Deliver Message Editor. You can add only one offer at a time to an asset.

  If you install and enable Unica Deliver within Campaign, then you can create a list that defines the recipients for a personalized messaging campaign. The list contains the recipient information that is used to address and personalize each message. You create a recipient list by configuring a Deliver process in a Campaign flowchart.

  Digital marketers construct email, landing pages, WhatsApp messages, and text messages in Unica Deliver in the Deliver Message Editor. Marketers without specific HTML editing experience can create valid, full-featured HTML email and landing pages with the editing and personalization tools in the Message Editor.

  Email and landing page templates are documents that you create outside of the Deliver Message Editor to define the layout of personalized email, hosted landing pages. The design of the template guides the design of the message. To create personalized email, marketers add content to the template by modifying the template or by using editing tools that are provided in the Message Editor.

Preview simulates how personalized parts of the Deliver document used to create the email, landing page, SMS, WhatsApp may change according to the personal characteristics of each recipient.

  Deliver provides a template-based scripting language for creating self-contained scripts that provide a way to personalize content in ways that you cannot easily duplicate in the Deliver Message Editor.

    You create offers in Unica Campaign, based on an offer template that defines default offer attributes. In the Deliver Message Editor or Quick Builder, you can associate an offer with an asset, either an image or snippet, that contains a URL. When you add the asset to an email communication that is sent in a mailing, Deliver tracks recipient responses and returns the data to Campaign.

    Before you integrate Campaign offers with personalized email, you must prepare Campaign to process the offer responses that arrive from the email channel.

      In Deliver, the Message Editor displays different icons in the Content Library to distinguish assets that are associated with offers. If you open the asset for editing, you can identify communications that contain the asset and its associated offer.
    - Asset content type and offers
      Assets in Deliver can contain static content or dynamic content. When you add an offer to an asset, the offer is associated with the asset, not the content the asset contains.
    - Removing an offer from an asset
      If you no longer want to associate an offer with an asset, you can remove the offer.
  - Adding offers to communications
    To add an offer to a communication, you add an asset and its associated offer to the communication in the Message Editor. To be able to track the offer responses, you must associate the asset with a hyperlink. The system tracks offer responses by tracking link clicks for the hyperlink that you add to the asset with the offer.
  - Adding the communication with offers to a mailing
    You send offers to your target audience by referencing a communication that contains the offers to an Deliver mailing. You reference a communication when you configure a mailing on a mailing tab in Campaign.
  - Sending a mailing that contains offers
    You send mailings that contain offers by using the same procedures that are used to send mailings that do not contain offers. However, if the communication that the mailing references contains offers, the system validates the status of the offers before the mailing starts.
  - Analyzing offer responses
    When you configure and send a mailing that contains offers, DeliverDeliver records information to identify each offer and each offer recipient. When individuals respond to the offer, Deliver records information to identify each response. The offer data is stored in the Deliver system tables until it is retrieved by Campaignfor use in Campaign performance reports.

Associating an offer with an asset

You associate an offer with an asset by adding the offer to the asset in the Deliver Message Editor. You can add only one offer at a time to an asset.

About this task

In the Message Editor, you can search for available offers in Campaign when you edit an asset. Your user permissions determine which offers you can find and add to an asset.

When you add an offer to an asset, you can modify the default offer attributes.

Note: You cannot add an offer to an asset that is marked as a template.

Complete the following steps to associate an offer with an asset.

Procedure

In the Content Library, open an asset for editing.
In the asset editor, click Select offer.
In the Select Offer window, enter a search term to find the offer that you want to add to the asset.
In the search results, select an offer and click OK.
The asset editor displays the Offer Parameterized Attributes table. You cannot edit the offer attributes, but you can edit the attribute values.
Save your changes.
In the Content Library hierarchy, the icon that is associated with the asset changes from to .
