Unica Deliver is a web-based, enterprise scale marketing message solution that you can use to conduct outbound bulk messaging and transactional messaging campaigns. Deliver integrates with Unica Campaign and with secure message composition, transmission, and tracking resources that are hosted by Unica.
Offers in personalized email
You can add offers that you define in Unica Campaign to personalized email that you create and send through Unica Deliver. Including offers in your marketing email gives you an opportunity to deliver a timely and targeted call to action to your audience. The system collects the offer responses and makes the data available in the Campaign contact and response history for use in Campaign performance reports.

You send offers to your target audience by referencing a communication that contains the offers to an Deliver mailing. You reference a communication when you configure a mailing on a mailing tab in Campaign.

The design of the template guides the design of the message.   Deliver provides a template-based scripting language for creating self-contained scripts that provide a way to personalize content in ways that you cannot easily duplicate in the Deliver Message Editor.

    You create offers in Unica Campaign, based on an offer template that defines default offer attributes. In the Deliver Message Editor or Quick Builder, you can associate an offer with an asset, either an image or snippet, that contains a URL. When you add the asset to an email communication that is sent in a mailing, Deliver tracks recipient responses and returns the data to Campaign.

    Before you integrate Campaign offers with personalized email, you must prepare Campaign to process the offer responses that arrive from the email channel.

    To add an offer to a communication, you add an asset and its associated offer to the communication in the Message Editor. The system tracks offer responses by tracking link clicks for the hyperlink that you add to the asset with the offer.

    You send mailings that contain offers by using the same procedures that are used to send mailings that do not contain offers. However, if the communication that the mailing references contains offers, the system validates the status of the offers before the mailing starts.

    When you configure and send a mailing that contains offers, DeliverDeliver records information to identify each offer and each offer recipient. When individuals respond to the offer, Deliver records information to identify each response. The offer data is stored in the Deliver system tables until it is retrieved by Campaignfor use in Campaign performance reports.

Adding the communication with offers to a mailing

You send offers to your target audience by referencing a communication that contains the offers to an Deliver mailing. You reference a communication when you configure a mailing on a mailing tab in Campaign.

About this task

You can reference the communication to a standard mailing, to mailings that you schedule, and to mailings that you enable for transactional email. You can also reference a communication that contains offers to a mailing that you send as an A/B test.

You must also reference an Output List Table (OLT) that provides recipient data that the system uses to address the email and personalize the message. The OLT contains data that the system uses to identify offers and offer recipients.

When you start the mailing, the system assembles each message according to the design of the communication and the recipient data in the OLT. Each recipient that is listed in the OLT receives a personalized email that includes the offers that you added to the communication in the Message Editor.
