Sending a standard mailing

When you start a mailing run, Deliver displays a checklist to confirm that you completed important mailing preparations. Controls on the Deliver mailing tab that is used to start a production mailing are disabled until you validate that you have completed these preparations. For more information about all of the required preparations, see Preparation for running a messaging.

Before you send a standard mailing, do the following.

  • Perform a production run of the flowchart used to create the recipient list referenced in the mailing configuration.

    Performing a production flowchart run helps to ensure that the mailing is using the most current recipient data available. For details, see Performing a production flowchart run

  • Confirm that you published the latest version of the Deliver document referenced in the mailing configuration.

  • Select a deliverability list (optional)

    This option is available as part of the mailing readiness checklist. For details, see Enabling deliverability.

When you start the mailing, the mailing tab expands to allow you monitor the progress of the mailing run. For more information about monitoring a mailing run, see Messaging monitoring and management.

When the mailing finishes, you can view reports that provide details about the mailing run. For more information about viewing information about the mailing run, see Accessing execution history.
