  Email and landing page templates are documents that you create outside of the Deliver Message Editor to define the layout of personalized email, hosted landing pages. The design of the template guides the design of the message. To create personalized email, marketers add content to the template by modifying the template or by using editing tools that are provided in the Message Editor.

  The Deliver Message Editor provide several ways to insert images and videos into personalized messages. You can add images and videos from the Content Library or add them from external sources when you send each message.

Apply link attributes and inline styles to control how the links appear and how the target of the links display. Deliver tracks link clicks and stores the data in the Deliver system tables.

  Use the Preview feature in the Message Editor to see how a personalized message might appear to message recipients. Preview simulates how personalized parts of the Deliver document used to create the email, landing page, SMS, WhatsApp may change according to the personal characteristics of each recipient.

  Publishing the communication in the Deliver Message Editor makes the communication and the resources it contains available for use in a personalized message or landing page. Publishing a communication does not transmit the communication to message recipients or landing page visitors. However, to send a message through Deliver, you must first publish the message in the Message Editor.

  Personalization fields provide the means to add recipient-specific information from your marketing database to a SMS, email, WhatsApp, push notifications . Personalization fields are also used in rules that control how conditionalized content displays in each personalized message.

In Unica Deliver, you can define two types of conditional content.   Deliver provides a template-based scripting language for creating self-contained scripts that provide a way to personalize content in ways that you cannot easily duplicate in the Deliver Message Editor.

  You can add offers that you define in Unica Campaign to personalized email that you create and send through Unica Deliver. Including offers in your marketing email gives you an opportunity to deliver a timely and targeted call to action to your audience. The system collects the offer responses and makes the data available in the Campaign contact and response history for use in Campaign performance reports.

	Description
	Select data about message recipients. Use data from your marketing databases or transactional data to address and personalize each message.
	Upload the selected recipient data. Deliver maintains a secure connection with the hosted messaging environment.
	Create a communication. The communication defines the appearance and behavior of the message that the recipient opens.
	Configure a messaging campaign. Depending on the type of campaign, you configure how to combine recipient-specific data with text, images, hyperlinks, and placeholders for recipient data to enable the system to individually personalize each message.
	Run the campaign. The system merges recipient data with the document that defines the message. The system transmits the individual messages and records aggregate transmission performance.
	Messages are delivered to the specified recipients. Deliver tracks message delivery responses from various Internet Service Providers (ISP). The system records various ISP delivery responses, including failed delivery responses, and unsubscribe requests.
	Recipients respond to your message. The system detects and records message opens and link clicks. Recipients can click links in the message that point to your website or to web pages that Unica hosts for you.
	Deliver tracks message responses. Unica systems process each link click and records data about the response before the system redirects the link request to the link target.
	Download the contact and response data. The Response and Contact Tracker (RCT) is installed with Campaign behind your corporate firewall. The RCT periodically requests the tracking data that Unica recorded.
	Contact and response data is stored in the Deliver system tables. The RCT stores the data that it receives in various system tables. The Deliver system tables are part of the Campaign database schema.
	Standard reports. View standard Deliver reports to analyze message transmission performance, delivery success, and recipient responses.
