Generating the Design Report

The Design Report provides results only for the current version of the Deliver document. If you change the document, you must generate a new report.

Before you begin

You must save the Deliver document before you run the Design Report.

Note: The Design Report is not available for text-only versions of an email message.

About this task

Each report is identified by date and time. Time is expressed as time in the Eastern United States. You cannot assign a name to an instance of a report.

Procedure

  1. Open an editor for the Deliver document that you want to preview. In the Message Editor toolbar, click Preview Preview button.

    The Preview page displays in a separate Message Editor window.

  2. In the Reports section, click the Generate New Report Generate new report icon.
  3. To view the report, double-click the icon for the report. Click the twistie to view a list of personalization fields used in the document.

    The Design Report displays in a new tab on the preview page. The tab specifies the date and time that you generated the report.

    Note: Because the generating the report involves sending test messages to various ISPs, completing the generation of the report can require several minutes to complete. If the report has not gathered enough information to display results for the email, it displays an error message that indicates that a campaign is missing.

Results

The report is archived for 30 days. To preserve the report for a longer time, you must lock the report.
