Online forms

You can configure a landing page as an online form to request and receive information from email recipients. The online form can contain various personalized elements to present different options to different people or groups.

The template that you use to create the online form must contain at least one HTML <form> tag. The form must also contain appropriately defined HTML <input> tags to define the input fields and controls presented to the person using the form. You can define the fields in the template or add and define the input fields using the Message Editor.

A common use for landing page forms is a page that lets a person subscribe, or “opt-in", to your corporate mailings or newsletter. You must design the form to accept the personal, account preference, and address data you require. Alternatively, you can configure an online form to process unsubscribe requests. In the design of an unsubscribe form, you might include a brief survey to ask why the person wants to leave your list or decline your offer.

Note: If you configure a landing page as an online form, you must also configure another landing page to act as a submission page to process the form input. However, in Deliver, configuring a Cancel page is optional.
