Email unsubscribe or opt-out options

To comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and other similar regulations of email practices, you must enable your email recipients to unsubscribe, or opt-out, of email messages that advertise or promote a commercial product or service.

Providing an unsubscribe option in your messages also gives uninterested recipients an alternative to labeling your message as SPAM. Avoiding being reported as SPAM is critical to preserving your email reputation among ISPs and ultimately helps to preserve your ability to consistently reach your intended email recipients.

Consider the following ways to avoid sending unwanted email.

  • Support List Unsubscribe.
  • Provide an unsubscribe page.
  • Remove addresses that are on the Global Suppression List.
