Options for connecting content to the View as Web Page version of an email

The system creates the View As Web Page version of the email by generating a copy of the message as a hosted landing page. If the message contains content connections, you can include the external content in the View As Web Page version of the email. You also have the option to omit the external content from the page.

Note: This option is not available for landing pages and connections in email to RSS feeds.

The View as Web Page version of an email retrieves updated content only when you publish the email communication. The content in the web page version can become outdated if the external content can change and if connections in the email retrieve content when the message is sent. To avoid outdated content, either configure connections in the email to retrieve content when the message is published or omit the external content from the web page version.

If you omit the external content from the web page version, consider how removing the content affects the content and layout of the page.

If you configure connections in the email to retrieve content when you publish the email, publish the email every time the external content changes.
