Unable to remove PID -1 listings in Unica Campaign Server Manager

Problem or error: A process ID (PID) equal to -1 is persistently listed in the Unica Campaign Server Manager (unica_svradm) status.

Solution: This may occur when a campaign exits prematurely.

Use the following procedure.

To eliminate the -1 PIDs from the Server Manager status list

  1. Verify that no flowcharts are running.
  2. Remove or rename the unica_aclsnr.udb file.

This file tells the Unica Campaign listener what server processes are running, so if the file does not exist, the listener does not try to reconnect to any server processes.

The file is located in the bin or conf directory under your Unica Campaign installation, unless the Unica Campaign listener is running as a Windows service. In that case, the file is located in the system32 directory.

  3. Restart the Unica Campaign listener.

The Server Manager status should not show any PID -1 processes.

Note: The PIDs with a value of -1 cannot be recovered.
