Creating and sending emails

Follow these steps to use Unica Campaign to send personalized email communications from Acoustic Campaign.

About this task

Sending email involves using both Unica Campaign and Acoustic Campaign for Marketing Cloud.

Procedure

  1. Use Acoustic Campaign to prepare the email template.

    Follow these guidelines:

    • Give the template a name that is meaningful to the Unica Campaign that it belongs to, so you can easily identify it in both applications.
    • For the template, select Contact Source, select Database, Contact List, or Query. The Contact Source must be in the Shared section.
    • For the Template Location, select Shared. Only shared templates will be available in Unica Campaign.
    • Save the template, then preview it for testing.
    • For the email body, create the content, including personalization variables if needed.
  2. Use Unica Campaign to create a Unica Campaign and add a flowchart to it.
  3. Configure the Email process in the Unica Campaign flowchart.
  4. Do a test run in Unica Campaign.
